Congratulations to Nia Kindred, a Junior at Leland High School, for being selected to be a member of the Mississippi State Superintendent's Student Advisory Council. Out of 300 applications she was the final pick! The purpose of this council is to hear directly from students regarding all issues facing them. She will act as a liaison between the Mississippi Department of Education and public schools across the state. This is an honor for someone in our district to have be chosen.
